News from kb8ojh.net

Site content now available encrypted

posted 2013-11-19 at 03:21:

Given all of the recent news about traffic capture and eavesdropping and the like, as well as my own personal belief that a more private network is desirable, all content on kb8ojh.net is now also available with TLS encryption enabled. Some site features will likely be available only on secured connections going forward, and I may force encryption at some point.

Because I do not have a huge amount of trust in the CA infrastructure (the authorities can easily obtain a certificate signed by a trusted CA that "looks" like it's actually yours, a PGP-signed message validating the current kb8ojh.net certificate follows. Such a statement will be perpetually available at https://kb8ojh.net/certificate-signature.asc with a link from the front page.
